"TERRA NOVA" DELAYED, TO DEBUT IN FALL 2011!

Fox announced late Friday that it would push back the much-anticipated premiere of Steven Spielberg’s time-travel epic, “Terra Nova.” The series was supposed to get a splashy two-hour preview on May 23 and 24, but now won’t be seen until the fall.

Network sources say that the show’s elaborate special effects are the culprit.

TERRA NOVA: "UNLIKE ANYTHING SEEN BEFORE"

Brannon Braga has revealed more details about forthcoming Fox sci-fi drama Terra Nova.

The series will see a group led by Jim Shannon (Jason O'Mara) travel back in time from the 22nd century to a prehistoric Earth.

"The look and feel of the show will be unlike anything people have seen before," Braga told SFX. "It's a fascinating conglomeration of futuristic technology in the distant past." He added: "The look of these technologies in a prehistoric setting is pretty cool, but having said that, [the characters] don't have all the luxuries [of the future]."

Braga also confirmed that the series will still remain linked to the 22nd century after the trip into the past. "We won't do standalone stories in the future, but the future will play a part," he explained. "There will be connections to the future that are very mysterious and ongoing, but only as they relate to our characters." - Digital Spy

New family adventure-drama series Terra Nova will preview during a special two-night event Monday, May 23 (9:00 PM) and Tuesday, May 24 (9:00 PM) on Fox. The show will then premiere in the fall.
